Nora - 4/21/2017

Nora ate kix cereal (instead of brown rice which I knew she wouldn't let me feed her) and raisins.  She would NOT drink any bottle this morning.  The 2nd time I tried she saw me coming with it and took off crawling in the opposite direction screaming!!  Ok, I can understand a subtle hint!  Ha!  She was super tired so she went to sleep about 10:30 again.  And I'll feed her lunch when she wakes up.

It's fun to watch Riley interact with Nora in the afternoons.  Nora absolutely adores Riley!!  Riley has a very non-intrusive way of dealing with the little ones and they all love her.  Yesterday Riley was running toward Nora and gently tickling her tummy on the way by.  Nora was cracking up and they did that over and over.  Kenzie and Sophie both tried to imitate what Riley was doing, but I watched Nora closely and her eyes stayed totally focused on Riley.

I was reading books to Nora and Avilene when Momma Emily left.  As soon as the door closed Avi jumped down and sprinted for the window.  They love that waving at the window routine!  Minutes later I took this first picture when Avi was still feeling super loving toward Nora and as you can see in the first picture I think Nora was feeling the same way!  In the 2nd picture Bubba was reverting to the "old" days of taking toys to Baby Nora.  He stacked a dozen stuffed animals in front of her.  Nora just sat there watching and sucking her thumb!  Ha!

Reid was desperately trying to get Nora to look at him and she was giving him the cold shoulder!  He was saying, "Nora!!  Look at me!!  Hey, Look at me!  Look at my face!!"  Several times.  Cracked me up.  So I grabbed the camera and he had started bonking himself (hard - not gently) on the forehead and of course that made her chuckle!!  He said, "Well actually, that hurts!"  LOL!!  Yup!  Sometimes success can be painful Reid!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
