Nora - 5/19/2017

Nora had bites of brown rice and ate raisins for breakfast.  She drank 6 oz at 10:00.  For lunch she had a taste of salmon, ate dinner roll, ate peas, and mangoes.

This first picture was taken a minute after Nora arrived.  Her lucky day!  Riley is here all day!!  (Riley's lucky day too!!)  It's "Kindergarten Roundup" at Riley's school so the Kindergarten class has a day off!  Nora makes the funniest little squeals and giggles when she's excited in general, but it seems accentuated around the other kids.  Nora certainly enjoys her friends!

Nora pulled herself up 3 or 4 different times this morning.  She also stopped in front of "her" mirror 3 or 4 times.  One of the times she was crawling with a spoon in her mouth and stopped to see what that looked like!  Another time she was pooping, straining, and yelling!  She had parked herself right in front of the mirror; but I refrained from taking a picture!  You're welcome!

Lauralea takes turns bouncing the kids on her lap while singing some songs and doing another game; "Walk walk, trot trot, gallopy, gallopy."  Nora "allowed" Lauralea to pick her up and do the game this morning.  I took this picture when Lauralea was giving her "5" for her effort!  Ha!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
