Nora - 7/14/2017
Nora ate several bites of oatmeal and lots of baked cinnamon apple bites for breakfast. She also drank 6 oz of milk. I'm impressed and happy with how she's doing with her cup! Well done Nora. (I measured how much she drank this morning so I'd know!) For lunch she ate bites of hamburger stew (ground beef with green beans, carrots, potatoes, and brussel sprouts), ate whole wheat dinner roll, and maybe a bite or taste of apricots.
Nora was looking around at the ceiling this morning and then I noticed Hudson doing the same thing and he asked, "What Nora see!?!" Haha! He decided it was a "bee." :) I remembered to put some cream on Nora's arm and Hudson noticed that as well. (These kids don't miss much!) He was quizzing me incessantly from every angle! "What you put on Nora? What it for? Why? Cream, cream, you put on cream!!??" "Yes, Hudson, like I said for the 14th time I put on cream." Haha! (Ok, so it was only 4 times, but it felt like more!)
Here are some pictures from the morning activities. I like the first picture - Nora is sitting and reading in front of "her" mirror and somehow Avi managed to not fall over the top of Nora. Avi was blindly heading for the mattress and she managed to jump on the mattress with the doll blanket over her head. :) I like how Nora is oblivious to what's happening behind her. Then there's the "hand in the barbecue" picture. This is a typical infant/toddler dilemma! How do I get my hand loose!?! Just yell and Gary will probably rescue me! :)
Atley is an observer - she watches closely what the other children are doing and may join in, but frequently she's very content to just watch. However, if she feels like playing beside someone it is usually Nora. And in the last two pictures she's playing by Nora. First at the sinks and then outside on the patio with the little tricycle. Atley was making the pedal spin and Nora was watching closely.
