Nora - 8/22/2017

Nora ate whole wheat english muffin and plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, and oranges.

Nora was super excited and happy to be back at Daycare and everyone was happy to see her as well.  She was squealing, yelling, and being a wild child!!  Ha!!  Reid was really enjoying watching her stand and take some steps!  He kept saying, "Nora walking, Nora walking, Nora walking!!"

Reid pestered her on the mattress and got the attention he was wanting!!  (First picture.)  In the 2nd picture Nora was trying to roll the ball at Reid.  We did lots of reading and she sat on my lap for almost two books.  So far she's been doing the exact same thing at Story Time; act like she's dying to read, but only hang out for one book and sometimes only a half of a book.

I gave Nora an opportunity to do some finger painting today and she had a blast!!  At first she just poked one finger tip in the paint, but Reid showed her how to get with the Program!  Haha!  He took her hand and moved it around in the paint.  She frowned and I wasn't sure this was going to end well, but she had lots of fun!  Love this picture.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
