Nora - 8/24/2017

Nora ate bites of whole wheat bagel and lots of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "homemade" pizza with whole wheat crust, hamburger and sausage, tomato sauce, peppers, olives, mushrooms, and pineapple.  She also ate tropical fruit.

I had two pictures from yesterday afternoon that I unintentionally deleted!  Nora has been getting up on the biggest climber outside and yesterday she went down that slide; on her tummy, feet first.  Very much under control!  Well done Nora!  And she got right back on the climber.  She's totally capable, BUT she looks so tiny up there!  Hey!  You can't be up there!!  :)

Nora was playing with Sophie and saying her "Daddy Daddy Daddy" chant!  Sophie said, "I'm NOT your Daddy!  I'm your friend!"  Ha!  Speaking of Sophie, this morning she asked; "Why does Nora suck her thumb?"  I said, "I don't know.  You'll have to ask Emily."  haha!  So we'll see if she remembers!

I took these two pictures just moments after Nora arrived and she was the first one here.  She was pretty excited and fired up and started slinging the doll blankets off the shelf.  Then she sat down and started whipping the blankets back and forth!  Haha!  Look at that face!  So cute.  She also played with the legos and was perched on the edge of the legos drawer like a bird.  :)  Outside she pushed a bike and an ice cream cart around practicing her walking.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
