Nora - 8/8/2017

Nora ate bites of whole wheat bagel and ate lots of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and loved those raspberries.  She did better with her stir fry vegetables than anyone!  "Ok everyone, eat your food like Nora!!"  Haha!!

I took a picture of these new dolls I got recently because the first story is about them.  All four of them came with an attached pacifier.  It was actually hooked to the clothes, but ALL the kids wanted to suck on the binky!!  All the time!!  Haha!  So very sanitary!  I knew it was going to be that way, but I gave it a try anyhow!  I cut them off last night and you should have seen Atley searching FIRST thing this morning.  She picked up every doll and searched them front and back!  Tipping them up and down.  Nora also loved those binkies!  In the 2nd picture Atley is telling Nora, "I know that binky was right here yesterday!!!!  :)  In the 3rd picture Atley went into the igloo and was waiting for Nora to join her, or at least play nearby and do some peeking!!  :)

Nora read books with us at Story Time and then got down to play while we finished the rest of our selection.  I looked over and she's standing on the legos table.  I felt like yelling, "YIKES!!"  Ha!  But I told her "that is not safe" (twice) and she stayed sitting the 2nd time.  What a goof!!  She has no idea about the consequences of falling off something like that at this age!!  She looked at me like "what could possibly be wrong with just standing here!?!"  :)  Everything!!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
