Nora - 8/9/2017

Nora ate most of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, bite of squash, and ate fruit salad.  She took the bite of squash and then a few seconds later she shook her head "no."  "Please don't offer me another bite of that."  But I offered her a bite anyhow and she gave me a much more vigorous "No" head shake!  Ha!

I already told Momma Emily the story behind this first picture, but I'm posting it in Nora's Blog anyhow.  This is Sophie (she's kinda cute, right!?) and yesterday afternoon she was playing with this doll and called her "Baby Nora."  So I called Sophie, "Mommy."  So she informed me; "I'm Momma Emily."  Isn't that the sweetest!?  Sophie loves Emily and so does Avilene!  Yesterday afternoon when it was about time for the kids to start leaving a car kind of slowed down (didn't stop) and Avilene said, "Emily?"  They totally know who usually leaves first, etc.

In this first picture of Nora she's putting the blanket on her head, whipping it off, and squealing and laughing madly!!  She was doing these loud hilarious fake laughs.  She'd look at me and if I looked at her and grinned or laughed then she'd keep "laughing," if I didn't look she'd immediately not laugh.  It was so funny.  What a goof.  Well, does this last picture look familiar!?!  Nora, that is NOT safe!  But I guess I'll take a picture first anyhow!!  Ha!  We were outside and she was standing up in the middle of the lawn squealing and laughing as everyone chased bubbles running all around her.  That tells me she is getting very comfortable with standing when people are in very proximity to her and she doesn't even flinch.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
