Nora - 10/23/2017

Nora ate whole grain chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  I've never talked much about what I consider a "serving size" for this age group.  As all my Families know I participate in a Federal Food Program (CACFP) and you can look online to see what they consider a serving size for different age groups.  I think their servings sizes are small (and it's just a suggested minimum).  So my serving sizes are considerably more than what they have listed.  Geez!  Poor Nora would not be happy with the minuscule amount they consider a serving size!  Ha!  For lunch she ate hamburger meat, most of hamburger bun, ate tomato, bites of lettuce, mushrooms, bites of avocado, and ate oranges.

Several of you have asked about the new Baby and when she starts so here's an update!!  Her Name is  spelled Linnea and is pronounced "la-may-ah."  Full name is Linnea Ann Goe-Midtlyng.  (Mommy's last name plus Daddy's last name.)  So far Hudson has called her "Ba-na-ah."  And then "La-ba-na-ah!"  Haha.   For pronunciation # 3 he asked, "Am I gonna hang out with La-ba-na?"  She was born in July and will start November 13th which happens to be the day Avilene Nelson turns 2!  (Which opens up an Infant spot.)  I'm super excited for this addition to our Little Treasures Family and the kids and I will have lots of fun getting acquainted with "La-may-ah!!"  :)

Hudson, Atley and I (mostly I - ha!) had this sidewalk built when Nora arrived and she was playing on it very carefully, BUT she was being very brave and walking on it.  And screaming at Atley (she's behind Nora in the picture) when Atley got too close and made her nervous!!  :)  "Back off Atley, back off!!"

Here are some more pictures from this morning's activities!  I'll bet Mommy and Daddy can guess what Nora is doing in this next picture!?!  (Guess before you peek at the answer!)  Look at those eyes!  Isn't that the cutest thing!?  She's saying, "Hey can't a girl have some privacy here while I'm pooping!!??"  Ha!  In the next picture she and Atley were watching something out the window and I guess Atley was trying to have a closer look!  Ha!  In the last picture Nora was watching Hudson and Atley make a racket by stirring the legos!  I liked what Nora was using for a chair.  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
