Nora - 11/10/2017
Nora ate several bites of breakfast: brown rice and raisins. For lunch she ate half of her salmon, couple bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate a large serving of corn, and a large serving of mangoes. I took this first picture after I'd washed her hands when she'd finished breakfast. We (Nora and I) kind of staged this picture (thank you for cooperating Nora) and I'm sure you've seen her do this at home. But this is how I know when she's done with her meal. Whenever she starts holding her cup in this fashion, with her teeth and no hands, I know she's done eating and she's messing around! :) She's been doing this for a few weeks now. Silly Nora!!
I love how Nora is growing so confident with walking and experimenting with lots of different aspects of movement. This first picture shows how she's practicing going off the step like a pro. Like I've mentioned before she's walked backwards, climbing up the steps to the balance beam, standing on the beam, spinning on the floor, throwing herself across the mattress, standing on the mattress and trying to bounce, and many more. Nice work Nora! And some of it is very hard work! It's easy to say that all kids do is "just" play, but they are learning and developing in the daily routine of play!
First picture: It was busy around the igloo so Nora found a new private spot to take care of her business. :) The last picture; Cooper is here with us today and Hudson couldn't not have been more excited. He and Cooper stayed busy playing on the mattress and being a little rowdy. You can see Nora in the picture hanging out to the side of the boys and their activity and that's as close as she wanted to be! Here's a left over note from earlier in the week: Kenzie and I think it's so funny how Nora will answer "yeah" to every question. Lauralea said that yesterday Kenzie was asking Nora all kinds of random questions and laughing when Nora would answer "yeah" to every one of the them!
