Nora - 11/15/2017

Nora ate bites of whole wheat toast and lots of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, whole grain tortilla, vegetables (carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes), and ate two servings of fruit salad.  It was a little chaotic during breakfast time; especially for Nora.  We had a situation with the sump pump in the basement yesterday and the plumber was scheduled to be here at 8:00 this morning.  Well of course he showed up about 45 minutes late - about the same time as Hudson, Avi, and Nora.  Thank goodness it was a quick fix (like I thought it might be) and he was done by 9:20 while we were still eating breakfast.  So what was the problem you ask!?  Well Nora saw his face! Yikes!  Poor Nora was screaming because I was not in the lunch room and she couldn't see me.  Baby Linnea had fallen asleep in the Baby chair and I was putting her sleeper on her so she could go to bed and she was crying.  Poor Linnea.  "Sorry," I said to the plumber,  "It's not usually like this!  (Pause) Sometimes it's worse!"  (Humor!)  I'm sure he'll never try to get his child into Little Treasures!  Ha!

Last night I found this "score card" in the lunch room where Kenzie and Riley were doing some art after snack yesterday.  I have no idea what it was - Kenzie is always creating a game of some sort - but if "low score" wins then Nora, Avi, and Gary rocked this game.  Knowing how Kenzie thinks I'm sure that is NOT the case.  :)  I thought this was really cute.

Hey!  It's a Big Day today!!  Nora put her own socks on the changing table!  (We celebrate ALL milestones at Little Treasures!)

Nora was so happy to see Baby Linnea this morning and it was so sweet.  She got to see her just before breakfast and then wanted to see her as soon as she was done eating.  Sorry, but she's sleeping again.  So I asked if they all wanted to see Linnea on the monitor!!  "YEAH!!"  Here's a picture of that occasion!  :)  Not really what they had in mind, but it's the best we could do at the moment!  So the last picture shows the baby hanging out with her new friends!  Nora was playing with the baby's feet and grinning all over.  She is going to do just awesome with the baby.  While I was feeding Linnea on the couch, two times Nora crawled up there and laid her head on my lap.  (And she wasn't fussing.)  It was just so sweet.  She simply wanted to be close and get a little attention too.
