Nora - 11/2/2017
Nora ate two servings of french toast and most of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork sandwich, ate peas, and cantaloupe.
Every day Hudson and Avi ask; "Riley and Kenzie coming today?" Yes, as soon as they get out of school. Yesterday, same thing, and then Hudson added; "Riley is coming to see Nor Nor." :) And that is basically the truth! It's just cute that he's that observant - both with eyes and ears. Nora yells and Riley responds. Like I told Momma Emily, Nora thinks Riley is her personal attendant! She has Riley's thumb in this first picture. Come on Riley!! Riley totally adores Nora and the feeling is mutual!! :)
This picture is also from yesterday afternoon. Kenzie had put everyone's name on a piece of paper and then she had Riley draw the lucky winner from the bowl! I like how Riley is intentionally looking elsewhere! No cheating here!! Each child was awarded a medal on the basis of this drawing! Ha! She wrote on their paper/medal whether they got 1st, 2nd, 3rd... (Kenzie just recently won a medal as her soccer team won a tournament! So she's really into the medal thing right now!)
I took this next picture when Hudson was patting Nora on the head and saying/asking, "Is it pretty, is it pretty, is it pretty!?!" Ha! Then he expounded a bit and started saying things like, "Don't pull your pony out, don't pull your pony out." He's probably heard me saying that!! (For those not familiar with Hudson, he never says something just once!! Haha!)
Not too much to say about this last picture except; "LOOK Everyone!! I'm getting more brave!!" Love it! (By the way, she looks adorable in this outfit!!) The balance beam and the mattress helps their large muscle skills so much. Also this morning she was really experimenting with walking backwards. Which is another physical development - plus it's cognitive thing as well and I love how she was really concentrating as she was taking steps backwards. Very intentional in what she was doing! It was fun to watch and then Atley joined her and they both were practicing walking backwards. Good job you two!!
