Nora - 11/28/2017

Nora had bites of whole wheat bagel and two large servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate everything: shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, large serving of stir fry vegetables, and raspberries. I took this first picture while Nora was eating her lunch.  As you can probably detect from the photo she ate her raspberries first!  Ha!  She cracks me up!  She's been doing real well with her spoon and uses her "free" hand to shovel it on in her mouth if necessary!!  And she grabs food with her free hand as well.  THEN, occasionally she'll yell and hold our her hand for me to clean off something on her finger or hand!  Haha!  I really can't see the "fine line" between what's acceptable on her hand and what it is she wants rid of immediately!!  (I hope I explained that somewhat clearly!!)  So funny!  It could be texture, stickiness, color......only Nora knows for sure!  Maybe!  :)  "Just get rid of it for me and don't ask questions!"

Yes I know this next picture is not Nora, but that's Nora's hand holding the baby's hand.  Nora was pretty jacked when Linnea grasped her hand.  So sweet.

Atley and Nora played in the swivel/rocker chair again with Atley pushing and Nora riding and laughing.  (See picture from yesterday.  Ha!)  We also read lots of books and sang some songs.  Nora was standing at the window looking outside and started whimpering/crying and yelling for me.  I could tell she was scared and not hurt.  What scared her!?  Then I spotted the house fly walking around on the window sill.  Ha!  Got em Nora!!  You're safe!  :)  She was in the igloo when I took this last picture and she'd been working on picking out some fuzzies between her toes!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
