Nora - 1/16/2018

Nora ate most of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two big servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop (because I mixed it with applesauce), most of whole wheat bread, taste of roasted vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes), and ate applesauce.

I took this first picture yesterday morning before I left, but no Blogs yesterday so I'm posting it today!  Just too cute of a picture to NOT post!!  :)  Nora knows if I'm here then Lauralea will be leaving for work!  And that calls for some serious "show-off" mode!  Lauralea said Nora would NOT show-off on the mattress yesterday afternoon and do some of her infamous butt-bombs - even when Lauralea asked her to!  (After I left.)  She was making up for it this morning!

Atley joined Nora reading books on the couch.  Atley was reading/singing two of the songs and they were totally recognizable.  "Bear went over the Mountain" and "Six Little Ducks." When Atley started singing those songs Nora whipped around to see what she was doing!  I think I did the same thing because I'd never heard her do "Six Little Ducks" before.  Also, when I announced I was putting the Baby down for a nap Nora immediately and loudly started singing, "night night baby."

Here's a picture of the kids painting at Art Time.  Nora makes me laugh because she wants to do the painting, but she doesn't really want any paint to get on her hands.  So she'd hold the brush in one hand and accidentally touch the paint with her other hand.  Then she'd immediately lay down the paint brush on top of her painting project and now the handle was covered in paint.  It was so cute and I only wanted to intervene if absolutely necessary.  You can see in the picture she actually did get quite a bit of the paint moved around!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
