Nora - 1/26/2018

Nora ate oatmeal and three servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She ate a large serving of apricots and no dinner roll.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Kenzie and Riley wanted to do art with the kids and they had lots of fun.  First they did stamps, coloring, and dot painting on this paper.  Then after I took the picture they literally covered it with stickers!  This project went on and on and on.  Ha!  So much so that the little ones were abandoning ship and that rarely happens!  (Notice that Nora is positioned next to her buddy Riley of course!)

Baby Linnea and Nora were the only ones here until breakfast time!  This first picture shows the Baby with LOTS of doll blankets that Nora was piling around her.  You can also see a yellow toy on the right side which is a front-end loader if the baby has need for that!  :)  In the following picture Nora put on a mask and came to show me.  It's not really just a blank mask - it's on backwards.  Ha!! We were also listening to music and Nora was doing some major exaggerated head bopping - especially when a song had a fast beat and then she was clapping at the end of every song.

There are only 3 kids here today until the after school kids arrive.  Avi, Nora, and Baby Linnea.  So the group dynamics were very different, but the kids had lots of fun.  Lauralea was here until about 10:30 so Avi and Nora spent LOTS of time showing-off for her!  And that's the story behind the last picture.  The girl LOVES to perform!  :)

It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
