Nora - 1/4/2018

Nora ate whole wheat english muffin and oranges for breakfast.  She ate a large serving of lunch; ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.  I mixed what she hadn't eaten with her applesauce and fed it to her and she snarfed all of it down!  :)

Here's a picture of Nora and Riley from yesterday afternoon.  Riley and Kenzie went to the Farm on December 20th so it had been several days since they'd seen each other and I'm not sure who was more excited!  So stinking cute!!

I knew Nora was behind the igloo going poop and as soon as she was done and playing near Avi  -  Avi sounded the alarm:  "Nora poopy Gary!"  Avi is about the age where their sense of smell gets fully developed and they squeal on their friends!  Ha!  Actually it's a big help!

We had lots of fun doing some sign language this morning.  Nora is very interested in the signs and is doing several of them along with us.  (Or at least she's moving her hand and arm around similar to what I'm doing.)  We read lots of stories and at the end of every book Nora said the same two sounds and it means;  "the end."  :)  Then we did some play dough and Nora had fun with that as well.  We use cookie cutters, little rollers, pizza cutters, and plastic knifes and forks.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
