Nora - 6/19/2018

Nora ate bites of waffle and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, bites of whole grain tortilla, ate corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.

Nora still finds a "semi-secluded" spot to lay on her belly and poop.  The other kids know what she's doing and will occasionally verbalize it, but today Atley was hovering very close and pestering her by saying, "poopy, poopy, poopy..."  Atley totally knew Nora did not want her there and was wanting her to leave!  Little turkey!  So I had Atley move away so Nora could poop in peace.  :)

I've mentioned before that the kids have "designated" spots where they always sit during Story Time. (They were the ones who chose their spots and then they've always kept them!)  Today Nora was sitting on the bump of the couch (sitting on Avi's Spot) and immediately moved when Avi came for Story Time.  Then Nora said, "Thank you Avi!"  LOL!  Why are you thanking her?  For "allowing" you to sit on her spot prior to Story Time!?

Here are some pictures from this morning activities.  Nora was playing with the doll and she always calls it her "baby."  I asked, "Is that your doll?"  Nora said, "baby."  :)  2nd picture; Nora has now "graduated" to doing puzzles outside the gate.  :)  She's listening to my instructions and following the rules pretty well.  (And she'll continue to get better at it.)  She and Atley were working on the same puzzle and I have no idea what was so funny, but Nora kept laughing aloud and she has the greatest laugh!  Atley totally knows how to push Nora's laugh button!!  (As well as the "aggravation button!" See first note above!) The last picture really has nothing to do with Nora - I just like it because it's classic Nora.  She was watching Avi hold up the lids (which have mirrors on the back side facing Atley) and Avi was saying, "Monkey!  Monkey!  Monkey!"  (Yes, it's a game we play.)  Nora very frequently is in the background watching, listening, learning, and evaluating.  I watch Her and I often wish I knew what she was thinking!!  :)  Look at the picture and see how she is studying Atley!
