Nora - 6/4/2018

Nora ate bites of whole grain chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat hamburger, ate tomatoes, avocados, and oranges.  

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Linnea is back after a week on the Oregon coast.  So lots of good things happening this morning.  (Except Hudson is not here to enjoy Linnea and he adores her!! Last week I showed him a picture of Linnea on the beach and he said, "That's my favorite baby!")  This first picture pretty much sums up how Nora feels about Linnea too!  This is what I think Nora was saying,  "You play with your toys Linnea and I'll just lay here using your leg for a pillow!!"  :)

With the toy exchange comes different puzzles and they were all doing puzzles.  I like this puzzle Nora is doing in the picture.  It combines shapes and colors!  We also read lots of books during Story Time and the kids read lots more books on their own.  Nora was reading and singing "row row row your boat.." and she sang it all the way through!  Music contributes to the process of learning language in such an awesome way!!

These next two pictures are pretty much classic Nora!  She watches intently and she studies intently!  I was laughing so hard watching Atley with the dress-up clothes!  First she tried to put the shorts on her head, then she put the sports jersey on her legs.  Nora's expression never changed - just kept intently watching Atley.  Which made it all the funnier to me!!  :)  And she watched Avi (2nd picture) as well.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
