Nora - 7/18/2018

Nora ate whole wheat toast and maybe half of mangoes (this mango wasn't very ripe and no one was real impressed) for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, no squash, and ate fruit salad.  Hudson likes to pretend his milk is coffee or tea, but at breakfast Nora felt the need to enlighten him!!  "My coffee."  "Milk!!!"  "My tea."  "MILK!!"  Time to change the subject.  What'd you all do last night?  Haha!

I know this isn't news to you, but Nora likes to transition slow (or at least at her chosen pace) if possible!  After breakfast she barely got inside the gate, just stood there and started yelling if someone approached her.  So I had her follow me around while I cleaned up breakfast and I took this picture while she sat on a chair and visited with me at the kitchen entrance.  And that worked very well.

Atley came out and asked to do puzzles and soon Nora wanted to get off the chair and join her in doing puzzles.  Atley sweetly said yes and that was a much nicer transition into Daycare life!!  We also read books, Nora jumped on the mattress, she covered Svea with blankets, and she watched herself in the mirror while she darted her tongue in and out!  What is that about!?!  Haha!  Just an additional note: I think everyone is missing Linnea!  (At least I don't think I'm the only one!)

I obviously took this last picture when we were outside playing this morning.  How do you like the way Atley put her sunglasses on!?!  The funny part was the fact that they stayed on her head that way just fine!  Nora has spotted Minnie Mouse on the sunglasses and she's saying, "mouse, mouse, mouse."  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
