Nora - 8/23/2018

Nora ate half of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and a large serving of applesauce.  Nora went to sleep fast - even before I got sat down to begin the Blogs!  That's pretty unusual so I'm thinking the pool party must have been a hit.  :)

I already told Momma Emily this and Nora demonstrated it a little bit for Momma too, but I've gotta blog about how Nora pedals the bikes.  She just mastered pedaling this week and can actually pedal quite fast now!  However, she only does it going backwards.  Well Nora, I do believe that's the first time I've seen that at Little Treasures!!  I saw her pedaling forward once yesterday for a few feet, but she wouldn't do it again!  She cracks me up!  Just in case someone is wondering why I don't post a video; for some reason this blogger.com won't let me post videos!  I've never been able to get it to work!  Maybe it's my photo program?  Most likely it's the operator!!

First picture; Is there any time when Nora is more happy than being with one of the babies?!?  Svea and Linnea bring Nora lots of joy.  Nora will be an awesome big sister some day!  Or drive her sibling nuts!?!  Haha!  Just kidding!  She'll do great as a big sister and she's getting lots of practice at Daycare!  In the 2nd picture Nora had a car (it's hard to see in the picture) and I asked her what she was doing.  Avi answered for her; "She's putting gas in her car!"  :)

I love these next two pictures.  Linnea was watching Nora "talk" on the phone and as soon as Linnea found a phone she began mimicking what Nora was doing.  See Linnea's eyes in the fourth picture; she's watching Nora who was still talking on her phone.  (She said she was talking to "Mommy" this time.)
 

Later, Nora and Linnea were playing together on the mattress and both were laughing and giggling.  It really didn't matter what Nora did, Linnea would laugh at it!  So Nora jumped like crazy, tickled Linnea, put her head on Linnea's tummy....everything got the same result.  Lots of laughs!!  Too cute.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
