Nora - 8/30/2018

Nora ate peaches and no whole wheat bagel for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite or two of sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives, and peppers.  She ate pineapple on the side.

The first two pictures go together.  Linnea took a little nap first thing this morning and ate breakfast a few minutes later than the others.  So in the first picture you can see what she was watching while eating breakfast.  For your viewing pleasure we have Nora and Atley jumping onto the mattress!!  A little later Linnea was still eating and was laughing at Nora jumping; oh man, Nora LOVED that!  The entertainment level increased a few degrees!!  "Oh! You like that!?! Well watch this!!"  I like how Nora's hair is sticking straight up in the 2nd picture.

And these next two pictures go together too.  Nora does this just about every day and I love it.  She gets a doll and covers it with a doll blanket.  (You can see the bump under the blanket in the picture.  Ha!)  She works hard to get it just the exact way she wants it and then lays down beside her baby and sucks her thumb.  :)

I had to remind Nora several times today that "Gary is in charge."  "I'm in charge here, not you."  "I got this; you can just play and enjoy yourself."  "I'll do the boss job!!"  Haha!  One of the more comical times:  At breakfast Atley said she was "done" and Nora started yelling at her: "Food...mouth!! Still eating!!"  Well of course Atley wasn't going to let that opportunity to tease Nora go to waste!  She repeated, "I done Gary!!"  Nora's intensity increased about 10 degrees!  "NO!! Food mouth!!  Still eating!!"  It's ok Nora.  I've got this and I'm in charge.  "Finish eating what's in your mouth Atley and I'll wipe you up so you can play."  :)  And that's normal life at Little Treasures.  Here's a picture of those two sitting at the table calmly reading books!  Haha!  This too is life at Little Treasures!!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
