Nora - 9/12/2018
Nora ate whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate pulled pork, half of whole wheat roll, ate a large serving of peas, and two servings of watermelon.
Yesterday Nora was reading (and singing) the book; "Teddy Bear Teddy Bear, turn around, Teddy Bear Teddy Bear touch the ground...." Except she kept saying, "Happy Bear, Happy Bear.." And Atley kept yelling, "Teddy Bear!!" And Nora would yell, "NO! Happy Bear!" This happened several times. I was wondering if she really thought that's the actual words. Fast forward to this morning: Nora with the same book singing, "Teddy Bear Teddy Bear...." :) I should have renamed my Daycare to "Little Turkeys!!" :) Here's a picture of a little turkey doing some selfies today with Gary!!
Nora was playing with the legos and getting very frustrated because she was having problems getting them together. She was yelling, "It broke, it broke!!" Just move away Nora and play with something else less frustrating at the moment! So she actually did that. We also sang lots of songs and did some sign language. I was doing the sign for "boy" and "girl." I asked Nora, "Are you a girl or a boy?" She said, "Boy." (Because it was the last thing I'd said.) So we continued and I was giving examples and doing the signs; "Daddy Ryan is a boy." Nora said, "Mommy a boy too!!" Hahaha!! Ok, I shouldn't have thought it was so funny right!?!
Here are a couple pictures from this morning. Nora had her dolls, doll blankets, and stuffed animals in a pile and was using them as a pillow. (Actually the pillow comfort was secondary - guarding HER possessions was primary!! "Mine mine mine!!" I always say, "They're actually mine Nora, but you can play with them.") Second picture: Lauralea was doing preschool trays with the girls and trying to get Nora to do associations (matching) by shapes and colors. So far she'll only do matching by colors. :)
