Nora - 9/26/2018

Nora chose not to eat any breakfast.  She sometimes has a hard time if she arrives when everyone else is already seated and eating.  You've said she usually eats before coming so I'm not too concerned about it.  For lunch she ate pork roast, most of whole wheat tortilla, no carrots, and ate fruit salad.

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and I always think it's cute when the "younger" ones are pulling the "older" ones.  Actually it's more a size thing than age thing.  Sometimes Atley and Avi will get in a wagon together and try to get Nora to pull them.  :)

This first picture from today kind of goes with the comment about breakfast.  This is what Nora much preferred to do instead of eating; pretend to feed Svea.  However it wasn't any easy target because Svea was whipping her head back-n-forth!

Here are a couple more pictures from today. I started building with the legos and soon everyone joined in.  And that was my intention - get everyone interested then back away and let them continue building as a group.  And they did without too much conflict.   Last picture: I love this "library moment" where they're all engaged reading.  Nora started reading "The best mouse cookie," but she was singing, "Twinkle twinkle little Star."  Atley couldn't let that slide!!  She found the "Twinkle twinkle" book in this set and told Nora, "This is Twinkle Twinkle!!"  Nora wanted no help: "NOOOO!!"  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
