Nora - 11/8/2018
Nora ate french toast and a bite of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of pulled pork, most of whole wheat toast, most of peas, and tropical fruit.
I was in the middle of feeding Svea her bottle and Nora was reading books in the preschool room just beyond the gate. She started howling and screaming and I immediately realized she had her own finger pinched in a book. "Just turn loose of the book Nora and let it fall to the floor." Nope, she was too traumatized to even hear that. Ha! She just kept on squeezing it with one hand while the other hand stayed pinched and continued to yell!! "Avi, will you please help Nora get her finger out of the book?!?" Awesome, thank you Avilene!! Moments later, Linnea is closing the lid to the barbecue and sure enough the same scene is repeated as she has closed it on her other hand. "Lift the lid Linnea." Nope, that's not happening. She too needs to be rescued! It's amazing how often that happens. (Use these two stories as references if you're ever tempted to think this age group is capable of logical processing!! If you're still not convinced I have at least 2000 more stories just like this. Haha! Just some humor!!)
Here are some pictures from this morning's activities. First picture: There is nothing more fun than boxes for kids! They don't last very long - see how the sides are bulging as the girls lay side-by-side - but it's fun while it lasts. (Big boxes are welcome here just in case you end up with a refrigerator box!! Ha!) Second picture: Nora and Atley reading books and singing. Kind of like dueling banjos, but it's dueling vocals!! Third picture: All three girls working with the same building pieces. (There is a name for these "pieces," but I can't remember it!) Last picture: Atley and Nora having fun again laughing their heads off!! Looking pretty cute with those headbands I think!! :)
