Nora - 1/21/2019

Nora ate Cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat pita bread, bites of tomato, ate olives, half of avocado, and two servings of strawberries.

Atley and Linnea are not here today and the Nelson girls didn't arrive until 9:45.  Nora had a captive audience (me - ha) and was a talking machine up to that point!!  Haha!  Here are some examples of our morning conversation.  "I went to the parade and got candies.  Two candies!!"
"I wanna wear undies like Avi."  "Oh," I said, "big girl panties?"  She said, "No; undies!"  Haha!
"What's that?" she asked.  (pointing at my shirt.)  I said, "Montana Grizzlies"  She said, "I like Montana."  So I asked, "What's Montana?"  Nora said, "Montana Missoula."  Haha!

Around 9:00 Nora said, "I wanna go potty."  Ok, I checked and she's was dry, so I took her in there and she sat on the potty.  Nothing happened, but she immediately said, "I'm just like Avi."  :)  (Yes, kinda, except potty comes out when Avi is here.  Haha!)

Morning pictures; In the first one Nora is trying to jam all of her toys into the purse.  Second picture: Nora saw Avi with the purse over her head and said, "She's hiding! I wanna hide."  Picture number three: Avi got the yellow bench for me to sit on and then asked if we could do sign language.  Nora nailed every sign we did!  Good work Nora.

Last picture:  These two had the yellow bench beside the box so they decided to crawl through the window.  (I call this "Life Skills" class 101!  Ha!)  THEN these two decided to fight and it sounded like this;  Avi (when it was Nora's turn) said, "Nora we need to share!"  Nora yelled, "NO!  I don't like to!!"  Avi screeching loudly; "At Gary's house we don't scream!!"  Nora said, "Why?"  (LOL)  Avi said, "Because you have to be good when your Mom comes!"  Ok, so I admit, Life Skills class wasn't exactly a screaming success today!  Except for the screaming part and it was exceptional!!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
