Nora - 1/23/2019
Nora ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate pork chops (they were very soft - and delicious - from being marinated), ate whole wheat tortillas, bites of carrots, potatoes, and sweet potatoes, and she ate fruit salad. At lunch time: The kids were eating and making comments about the pictures on the digital frame. There is a picture of Avi standing on one foot. When I saw that I said, "Look at Avi on one foot." Nora immediately looked under the table at Avi's feet. Haha!
At Story Time I usually read the "Special Books" and I do it in "order" so it's probably 3 - 4 weeks (sometimes much more) before I'll read the same book again. But they soon learn all the books and it's amazing how many they know. I'll read a line and let them fill in the "blank" and they always amaze me. Up to this point Nora has primarily listened and sucked on her thumb, but she's starting to participate and give answers as well. I love it. I asked, "What's this book?" and I gave a clue; "Dinosaur.......?" Nora said, "Stomp!" You got it!!
I debated (with myself - ha) to include a story about this morning, but I decided it wasn't appropriate for the Blog!! If that makes you curious you can ask me about it and I'll be happy to share!! Here's a teaser; It's hilarious!!
Morning pictures; Atley and Nora were "going to sleep" with the blankets and stuffed animals on the mattress. There is something about Atley's personality that makes Nora laugh and have fun. They are just the perfect fit and it's always been that way! It's hard to describe, but frequently Atley will do something even unintentional and Nora will laugh. Atley hears that and without even looking at Nora she immediately goes with it and escalates the performance. During meal times I frequently have to remind Atley that we're at the table to eat food, not to try to make Nora laugh. It's just the cutest thing!! Last picture at Art time is another example. Zoom up on those two clowns.
