Nora - 2/14/2019

Nora ate bites of toasted whole wheat English muffin and two servings of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and two servings of applesauce.

First picture: Off to a good start!  I took this picture just moments after Nora arrived and she and Atley (and joined temporarily by Linnea) were doing their usual antics of laughter and goofiness!  Things went swell for a few minutes and then got momentarily sidetracked!  Ha!  Nora was furious about something and I said, "Nora, I don't want you to lay on the mattress and scream at Gary's house."  Avi, always instantly more than ready to offer additions and corrections to what I have to say, chimed in with this jewel;  "You can do that with your Mom and Dad."  LOL!  Well I don't really think they appreciate it either!  :)

Soon after Nora arrived she was quizzing Linnea about the color of the hearts on Linnea's pants.  "What color is this one?"  She'd tell Linnea the color; "pink."  "What color is this one?"  "Red."  I love how they learn SO much from each other.   And sometimes it's even good stuff!! Haha!  No, most of the time it's very good stuff!  Today Nora was teaching Linnea colors; a few days ago she was teaching Svea colors.  Thank you Nora!

Last picture: Avi wanted Nora to join her in wearing a mask and "try to scare Atley!"  So Avi stuck the mask on Nora - except, if you look closely, as you can see it's upside down and obviously backwards!  Haha!  The string is around Nora's eyes.  Svea's watching and learning!!  Sometimes it's good stuff, sometimes not so much!  Oh, I already said that!!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
