Nora - 2/20/2019

Nora ate most of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, no potatoes, no sweet potatoes, and ate fruit salad.  At breakfast they were talking about Atley being gone yesterday.  So Atley told them she was with "Nana and Papa."  I asked Nora; "What do you call your Grandpa and Grandma?"  She said, "Grandma Pam and Grandpa Gary."  Huh?  She got a huge grin on her face when she realized what she'd said, "Nooooo, Papa Greg."  And then Avi said, "My Grandpa and Grandma are Mark and Mary."  Is there anything more cool for children than Grandparents!?!?  No.  :)

Three pictures:  Just working on some preschool activities.  They enjoy working together and most of the time that works out ok.  Some times I have to monitor more closely; just depends on the activity.  Nora was happy to have Atley back today.  They played together and as you can see they worked on projects together.  Also, when Atley came she wanted to leave her hat on; "To keep my head warm!"  So of course Avi arrived and saw Atley's hat so she had to leave her's on as well.  At least for most of the morning, but Atley kept her's on all morning!

Last picture; Jumping right before lunch and the hats are still in place!!  If you zoom in you can see Nora is just staring and sucking her thumb!  Is it nap time yet!?!  I'm just too exhausted to even jump!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
