Nora - 2/8/2019

Nora ate bites of oatmeal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two large servings of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and potatoes.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and apricots.  I've mentioned before how the kids like watching the digital pictures especially during meal times.  At breakfast this morning Avi said, "I just saw Nora's nostrils Gary!!"  Haha!  Yup, some of the selfies you guys did are pretty hilarious!  :)

This story is more about Avi and Atley, but it kind of involves Nora too!!  Atley LOVES to be silly and wants Nora to join her and they'll just laugh at the goofiest things.  (Kids just being kids.  I love it!)  She frequently says, "Hey Nora, you wanna be silly!?"  Today, Atley said, "Hey Nora!!  We're gonna exercise (on the mattress) so we can be really...(pause)....funny!"  Avi, who was in the background, said, "NO...Heatlthy!"  LOL!!  That's correct too Avi!

First picture: Svea had her head laying on the step and Nora came along and joined her.  And of course Svea decided to take advantage of the situation.  You can tell that Nora was loving it all!!  Nora sure loves the babies.  I think she'll be an absolutely awesome big sister.  She gets lots of practice here. This morning the song "Rock-a-bye-baby" came on and Nora went nuts.  She was literally jumping up and down and yelling; "It's the rock-a-bye-baby song Gary!  It's the rock-a-bye-baby song!!"  :)

It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
