Nora - 3/19/2019

Nora ate bites of toasted whole wheat English muffin and a bite of her dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of chicken with stir fry vegetables, bite of brown rice, and two servings of oranges.  I've been trying Nora without a bib at meal times and she's been doing great.  Yesterday at snack she said, "Can I go without a bib?"  (Atley and Avi are both going without bibs now too.)  I said, "Oh, you wanna try going without your shirt?!"  I meant BIB!!!  Haha!  Nora said, "NOOO!!"  LOL!  You needed to be there!  That was so funny and I was laughing so hard!!

I want to give everyone a heads-up about what's coming at the end of this week.  This Saturday is the Memorial in Plains for my Mom and we have both of my kids and their families coming on Thursday and Friday.  I'm going to have the Daycare open as usual and the only change will be NO BLOGS on Friday!  That will help free up more time during Daycare as it might be slightly busy around here!!  Haha!  Can't wait!!

First two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  We had a visitor!  Reid dropped in unexpectedly; not just for me, but for his Mom as well!  I immediately called her; "Hey! Did you know Reid is at my place!?"  (They just live around the corner.)  And it was news to her, but she was ok with it.  He said, "I haven't seen you for a long time."  (No kidding Reid!  It's been at least 2 weeks.  I drive by their house all the time and frequently stop to say hi!)  He hung out with us for 2 hours and the kids enjoyed him a lot.  Of course he knows exactly when snack time is (as soon as he gets home from kindergarten) and that's when he arrived!  He said, "You already know that I'm hungry ALL the time!"  Yes Reid, I'm totally aware of that.  Pull up a chair!!  Ha!

Yesterday Emily told me she'd send a "picture" of her unborn baby!  When Daddy Ryan dropped off Nora, Avi was reminded of that and asked; "Did Emily send you picture of Gideon in her tummy!?"  (my Grandson - haha)  Oh man that was funny and cute.  (By the way, Ryan text me the picture and that's so awesome!!)  Then Avi said the picture was "Callahan."  (Hudson's brother!)

Morning pictures: I like the last picture!  Nora "the little mommy."  What a great big sister she'll be for her little brother.  She's had lots of practice and Callahan is starting on the 29th; last day of this month!!  So another "practice baby" is on the way!!  She'll be loving that!!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
