Nora - 3/21/2019
Nora ate toasted and buttered whole wheat bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of hamburger & sausage pizza with peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce. She ate half of whole wheat crust, and ate all of her pineapple on the side. Just a reminder: There is will be no Blogs tomorrow and back on Monday!!
Nora was a bit beside herself for the first several minutes this morning! Here's the setting; Nora, Avi, and Svea arrived at the same time. Daddy Andy left first and all the kids were waving bye at the window. As soon as he drove off Svea got off the window step and moved away. Nora became frantic and was literally screaming; "SVEA! SVEA!!" I asked, "What's the matter Nora?" "MY DADDY!!" She's freaking out because Svea needs to stay at the window and wave to Daddy Ryan too! About the same time Avi sprinted to the mattress to get a stuffed animal and now Nora's borderline total hysterical!! In the mean time Ryan has not yet come around the corner! Ha! Whew! Thank goodness we've still got some precious moments to bring this all together and that's what we did!! Everyone was waving at Ryan. Well almost everyone; Nora's eyes were so full of tears and she's still so upset (about what almost happened, but didn't happen) that she really couldn't wave! Ha!
First two pictures: Nora has been spending more time in the preschool room this week. I think I mentioned this earlier, but Atley and Avi both have been showing LOTS more interest in doing preschool trays so of course Nora is getting more involved as well. And you'll probably see the same trays and activities over and over; just like anything else they get their favorite. But, as you know, if we wait awhile that too changes and on to some other activity that interests them.
Last picture: Nora reading some books. But there's a great story behind this picture!! I was watching her read and listening to her. She was singing, "Row row row your boat..." as she frantically thumbed through the pages. She said (kind of to herself I guess because she didn't look back at me), "I'm finding a boat, I'm finding a boat." So she already knew there was a picture of a boat in this book. Sure enough pretty soon she said, "I find a boat Gary!!" And she resumed singing, "Row row row your boat...." Very cute. Well done Nora.
