Nora - 4/12/2019

Nora ate bites of oatmeal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, cauliflower, and mangoes.

Every morning Nora picks out the color of her ponytail holder and it matches something she's wearing!!  Occasionally, like this morning, she does it "backwards" and picks the ponytail holder first, and then looks to see if she has something to match!!  Ha!  This morning she picked blue and then searched what she was wearing.  She finally found some blue on her socks!!

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Reid was here and everyone was thrilled to be outside!!  I cut some wooden "stepping stones" and also these various sized wooden slices.  (We'll call them "cookies.")  Reid was showing the kids one way to use them.  Second picture: The three oldest girls going back to Callahan's room when he woke from his morning nap!

Last picture:  I think Nora was feeling pretty special this morning because I let her get in the "restricted area" behind the closed fence and try to comfort Callahan with his pacifier while I finished changing a couple of diapers.  After a while I assumed she was getting tired of it and I asked, "Shall I put him to bed?" She said, "No."  That surprised me even though it probably shouldn't have surprised me!!  Ha!!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
