Nora - 4/23/2019

Nora ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop, whole wheat toast, beets, bite of sweet potatoes, and ate applesauce.  At breakfast Atley said, "We can't cough at the table."  Haha!  I said, "Yes we can cough, but we cover our cough like this."  (So I did a cough into my elbow.)  Nora said, "We can say aaah.....chooo!!"  Ha!  Avi said, "NO! We say Bless you!!"  Hilarious!

Atley and Nora were having a conversation and it went something like this.  (Invitations to each other's house are common; almost daily.)  Atley said, "Do you want to come to my house Nora?"  Nora said, "No, just my own house."  Atley (obviously trying to sweeten the pot - haha!) said, "Well I have Brad at my house. I love my Brad."  ...  "And a Megan."  Nora said, "Well I love my Emily!!"  The comedy never ends!

First picture; The kids liked watching me spray paint numbers on the "stepping stones" yesterday and we painted the big wooden "cookies" too.  The plan is to use them for some outdoor games.  Second picture also from yesterday.  The angle of this picture makes Nora look so stinking small while Atley pushes her in the stroller!  Ha!  So cute.

Next picture: Nora said, "Gary! I made a spaceship!"  Sweet!!  Last picture: We just finished playing this game for the first time and they all did great!!  (It's much easier to try things like this during this week while Baby Callahan is on vacation.)  Anyhow, it involved taking turns and waiting for your turn to select the top card, then I would read the card and they put their color piece on the right animal.  Nora was red, Atley yellow, and Avi was blue.  Notice Avi posing for the picture.  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
