Nora - 5/24/2019

Nora ate whole wheat bran cereal and most of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate half of brown rice and ate pineapple on the side.

First thing at the window when they were waving bye to Momma Emily, Nora said, "Hey Gary, Mom got my baby because I wouldn't listen."  Ha!  Thanks for sharing Nora.  I told her "confession is good for the soul!" :)

Breakfast conversation this morning:  Atley said, "You forgot to turn the pictures on!!"  (The digital pictures at the table.)  Atley said, "You're a goofball!"  Haha!  Boy did Nora and Avi respond immediately in my defense!!  "No he's not!!  No he's not!!  No he's not!!"  It was pretty funny!

More breakfast conversation: This time they were discussing signal lights.  "Red means stop!"  They all agreed on that one.  "Green means go."  They all agreed.  "Yellow means go slow."  Agreed.  Avi said, "Hey Nora, do you know what blue means?"  "No."  Avi said, "Go backwards!!"  LOL!! I laughed so hard!  So Atley came up with one of her own too!!  "Purple light means dance!!"  These meal discussions are the absolute best!!   I interject nothing; I just listen!!

First two pictures; Nora with her babies.  She said, "Baby getting thirsty Gary."  Then to the baby: "You're getting thirsty baby and I have milk."  Last picture: What's the conversation in this last picture?!?  If you think Nora looks disgruntled you're correct. She was repeating in rapid fire mode: "Help me Gary!  Help me Gary!  Help me Gary!!"  Getting a reaction out of someone is a huge motivator for some children and boy does Nora ever react!!  Svea wasn't doing anything very aggressive and Nora just wanted her out of her space.  But the more Nora reacted the more Svea pestered her!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
