Nora - 6/11/2019

Nora ate most of whole wheat English muffin and bites of her dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, stir fry vegetables, and two big servings of oranges.

First picture: Nora, Avi, and Atley doing some drawing with markers, pens, and pencils.  They also did some stickers and stamps.  When they started with the pens Atley said, "I"m gonna sign out.  I'm gonna sign out."  (Making reference to "signing in and out on the attendance sheets.)  Both Nora and Avi picked up on that and started chanting it too.  "I'm gonna sign out. I'm gonna sign out!"  :)

Next picture: I didn't have Nora's hair pulled back in a ponytail yet, but I think her eyes were closed when I took this picture.  I do know there were some contended sounds emanating from her!!  :)  Later, Callahan was yelling and screaming and I was ready to change him and put him down for his nap.  Nora did the same thing again that you see in the picture.  Uhhh...do you hear him screaming Nora?  He may not appreciate it at the moment!!  Ha!  "Yes Gary, but I like it so much!!"  (Obviously my words!! Ha!)

Nora had a good morning with no screaming at others!  And just like I've mentioned previously the primary reason is displayed again in the last picture!!  :)  She loves having her own space and plenty of it!  Just being able to lay out her doll blanket where no one can walk on it makes all the difference! When I filled out the questionnaire for her new Preschool I don't remember if I specifically mentioned that, but it would be nice for them to know.  Sometimes she just needs that space.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
