Nora - 6/17/2019

Nora ate most of whole wheat Chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, avocado, tomatoes, and three servings of oranges.  Breakfast conversation went like this;  Nora said, "I have a new room."  Avi said, "I have a new bed."  Even Linnea got in on this conversation; "I have a nap mat."  That was SO cute.  Not real "new," but close enough!  Atley said, "I have a new house."  Nora said, "Gary has a new baby and blanket!"  Referring to the Toy Exchange!!  Haha!!

Well we did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend.  Geez, I wonder what Nora will play with first!!??   Not much suspense with that question!!  haha!!  First picture: Feeding her baby a glass of milk.  That baby can drink it right out of the glass!!

Next picture; Nora was admiring herself in the mirror and said, "I'm a cowboy!"  Earlier, I said, "Cowgirl."  But Avi set me straight on that one!!  "NO!! Cowboy!!"  Haha!  Nora got all shy acting when she saw me admiring and giggling at her!  And put her arm across her face.   Later, Nora looked at my shorts and said, "Hey Gary.  Why do you have soft shorts?!?"  Good observation Nora.  For the past 2 or 3 weeks I've worn denim jean shorts.  They catch everything that's important to them!!

Last two pictures; Avi invited Nora to work with her in the building block activity.  Avi continued building and doing most of the work.  Nora said, "Hey Gary! Look what I'm building."  Haha!  Nice. Last picture; More of the same, except this involves sorting colors or balancing the colored pieces in the scale!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
