Nora - 6/19/2019

Nora ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of Shepherd's Pie with green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She had bites of whole wheat tortillas, and ate cherries.

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon shortly after Callahan had woken from his afternoon nap.  Speaking of yesterday afternoon, not long after I took this picture, Nora said, "I have a boogie Gary!!"  Atley responded before I could say anything.  She said, "Well wipe it on the grass!"  Haha! Well I guess that might work Atley, but did you notice we're NOT outside!!  :)  "Here's a tissue Nora!"

Next picture: Nora asked Avi if she could join her in doing some stamps!  Avi had to give a little lecture with instructions as they began.  The only part I heard was; "Now Nora, we cannot leave the lid open because it will dry out!  And then we won't be able to use it!!"  Nice job of articulating our rules Avi.  Following picture: Nora with Callahan again!!  She was entertaining him while everyone else was finishing their breakfast.

Last picture: Nora was so excited to be stringing some beads!  "I did it!! I did it!!"  Good job Nora! Nora turned toward Linnea who was out in the Play Room.  "Hey Linnea!!  Look!  I did it! I did it!!" Haha!  (She didn't get much feedback there!)  She was having lots of success with this today.  If you look closely you'll see she's on bead number 10.  And, while you're looking closely, you'll see she has the string wrapped around the highchair leg!!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
