Nora - 6/24/2019

Nora ate half of breakfast:  bran cereal and raisins.  For lunch she ate chicken, bite of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate cucumber, ate avocado, and ate pears.

First picture: It was during breakfast and I could hear Callahan waking up from a short nap.  I was more or less just thinking out loud and I said something like: "I'm gonna bring the saucer in here while I finish feeding Svea and maybe Callahan will stay happy for that length of time."  Nora said, "Yes, that will be better."  Haha!  As soon as Callahan and the saucer appeared Nora was ready to be done and attend to Callahan.

Nora said, "I sleep in my new bed."  I don't know how many times she said that this morning, but it was a bunch!!  Also at breakfast time she said, "Gary got a haircut today."  Yup I did! Actually yesterday, but close enough.  :)  She sees most everything!!

Next picture: Nora's art picture.  I asked her what she drew a picture of.  She said, "A storm."  Interesting.  I can't recall a child ever saying that before.  Lots of clouds, moon, sun, but never a storm!  :)  Last picture: Nora worked with Avi on several preschool activities this morning.  They were using the syringe to put water in the little "holes" and they were taking turns nicely.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
