Nora - 6/25/2019

Nora ate two servings of whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, several bites of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and two servings of raspberries.

I asked Nora, "What'd you do last night?"  She said, "I have a new....."  I just couldn't figure it out although the last word sounded like "shelf."  So I finally asked, "What do you do with it?"  She said, "I put books on it."  Haha!  Good job Nora!  So it's a bookshelf.

At breakfast Linnea was quizzing Nora, "Where's Atley?"  Nora, pointing at Atley, said, "right there."  Linnea went through everyone in the Daycare, including me, and then she started over.  Nora played right along with her answering the question every time!  Good job Nora.

This first note and picture are from yesterday afternoon.  This is my shirt from yesterday and I told the kids it was me and "I am a super hero."  So in the afternoon Linnea pointed at it and said, "Gary super girl."  LOL!!  It was so funny, except Atley and Nora were having no part of that!  They kept telling Linnea I was a "super boy."  Ha!  Linnea never did relent; "super girl!!"  :)

Next picture: Avi and Nora were working on sorting these colors.  Last picture: Avi had completed her name and then was "helping" Nora do her name.  At least I thought she was just helping Nora.  When they were done I asked Avi, "Oh, did you help Nora do her name?"  Avi said, "No I did it by myself.  I did it for her."  Haha!  Nora didn't mind at all!!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
