Nora - 7/17/2019

Nora ate three servings of whole wheat toast and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, bite of whole wheat tortillas, no potato/sweet potato, and ate fruit salad.

First picture:  Linnea was wiped out this morning so at 8:30 I asked if she'd like to lay on her nap mat.  And she did.  I took this picture at breakfast time, about 9:00 and Nora had just arrived.  Avi couldn't wait to drag Nora in to show her that Linnea was napping!  Ha!  (Notice Avilene's hand on Nora's left shoulder. So cute.)  Linnea got up at 9:10 (on her own) and was back to her normal self.  Atley looked at Linnea when she got up and exclaimed, "She's not crying!!"  :)

Next picture: I'd just finished feeding Callahan and Nora was on the prowl for some mess or spit-up left behind by Callahan.  And he didn't disappoint her.  She's directing me to where I need to clean up!  :)  Notice that Nora has another baby in her arms as well!

Last two pictures: We played this board game yesterday and they were all excited to play it again today.  " Can we do the Ladybug Game!? Can we do the Ladybug Game!?"  It's great for teaching them about "taking turns, recognizing numbers, and counting out that many spaces on the board."  I needed to feed Callahan, but they said, "Let's play another game!!" which they were doing in the last picture!  Making up rules as they went!  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
