Nora - 8/22/2019

Nora ate most of waffle and most of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite of shepherd's pie with meat, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans.  She ate a large serving of cherries and bites of whole wheat tortillas.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Nora and I went into Callahan's bedroom to get him from his late nap.  I was fixing his bottle and this is the scene - however I could hear him really laughing!!  She would kind of jump out and "peekaboo" with him and he was getting the biggest kick out of that!!  :)

Nora was at the window to wave at Momma this morning and you went zooming by!!  She said, "Hey!! Momma didn't wave at me!!"  And her eyes followed you down the street.  BUT she had a huge grin on her face (which was awesome) and we had a good laugh over that!!  I was proud of her for NOT making a big deal out of that!!

Next picture: Wearing masks with Avilene.  Last picture: Wearing cat suits in the preschool room.  They did this activity and sorted them into the colored cups.  Then they were taking the different animals - elephants, bears, dinosaurs, and more - and lining them up.  Avilene said, "We're having a party!!"  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
