Nora - 4/20/2020
Nora ate two servings of kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch she ate two servings of ground turkey, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, avocado, tomato, and ate cherries.
Nora was still at the window waiting to wave bye to Momma this morning and I'd pushed the "play" button on the iPod. The music played like 2 notes and Nora said, "That's my favorite song!" Oh really!?! What is this song?!?" Nora; "I don't know." Haha.
Everyday, somedays it's several times per day, the kids ask "What are we eating!?!" I usually tell them and then from that point on the standard answer is "food." So here's an example of conversation at Daycare/Preschool just prior to Lunch!! Atley; "What kind of food are we having for lunch?" Me; "Good food." Atley'; "What kind of good food?" Me; "Good All American Food!!" Atley; "I live in American!" Ha! Avi; "I don't!! I live in Montana!" Me; "Guess what kids?!? Montana is a State IN America!" Nora; "My Dad has a State!" Me - very impressed; "Oh really!?! He's doing better than I even imagined!! Where is his State?" Nora; "On his computer!" Haha.
This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon when Avi, Atley, and Nora were pounding some nails. Hey, this is our life skills class. This wood is very soft and perfect for this activity. Nora tried this a couple times before she went to Preschool without much success. She did very well on Friday, pounded about 4 nails all the way in and she was proud of herself. Good work Nora.
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend (Daycare and Preschool Rooms) and the kids were super busy all morning. Nora played with dolls and in the first picture she'd been trying to squeeze one into that purse. Next picture; A tablet in this exchange and the Preschool Kids are allowed a total of 20 minutes per day. Then she's playing with a battery-powered car that works so much better on the hardwood floor. Miles in his fedora all dress-up for a night in!! Ha! :)
