Nora - 4/22/2020

Nora ate two servings of French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of paleo stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, tomatoes, carrots, and sweet potatoes.  She ate three servings of saltines and three servings of tropical fruit.  Avilene made an announcement at breakfast.  "Sometimes my Dad makes M & M cookies with chocolate chips!!" Nora yelled; "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?"  Haha.

Speaking of meal time announcements, yesterday at snack time Avilene apparently decided it was time for Atley and Nora to come to grips with their own mortality!!  "Hey! You know what!?!?  When you die the skin comes off and kinda looks like a skeleton!!"  Ha!!  That was old news for Atley and she wasn't fazed at all; "I saw a skeleton trick-or-treating!!"  :)

 This first picture was taken almost immediately after waving bye to Daddy at the window.  I said, "Hey Nora, please get your bother a toy."  So of course she said, "I'll get him a baby."  Haha.  Yup, that's what we do alright; assume everyone else likes exactly what we like!!  haha.  Later in the morning she was having fun with Miles (a bit rough) and I asked, "Nora, why are you terrorizing your brother?" She said, "Because he likes it."  LOL!  Well he sure appears to like it.  I agree.  In the second picture Miles is finishing off a bowl of something.  :)  That's what Reid Templeton would always ask me at the end of meals; "Hey Gary!  Can I finish that off!?!?"  Haha.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
