Nora - 6/26/2020

Nora ate most of oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and three servings of applesauce.

Breakfast Conversation: Atley said, "Gary, you're the best boy in the whole world."  After repeating it the second time Nora started plugging her ears.  I said, "Nora, why are you plugging your ears?"  Nora said, "Because I just don't want to hear it."  LOL!!
Lunch Conversation:  Atley asked Nora, "Who is your favorite girl that you love?"  Nora said, "you, because you make me laugh."  Haha.  So true.

Nora and Atley were at the window watching some small birds that were landing on the concrete very close by.  Nora said, "Hey Gary!! We see some woodpeckers!!"  LOL!!  Ok, so maybe we need to do some bird identifications.  :)

Nora and Atley were playing with the flashlights and Nora said, "Hey Gary, when I was little you used to turn the light off for the flashlights.  Will you please do that?"  Well Nora, there's a thing called Summer Solstice and even with the lights off right now it's still sunlight bright in here!  And by the way, aren't you still little!?!  Nora said, "NOOO!! I'm big!!"  :)

Here are some pictures from the morning:  First picture; they had some name for this place they were at, but I couldn't hear it.  In other words; this is some make-believe place.  Next picture: I just think it's cute when I can get a picture playing with cars that Nora is involved with.  :)  Last picture; this was some of the flashlight play.  Svea was here for awhile this morning and she's in the igloo too.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
