Nora - 7/6/2020

Nora ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, two servings of whole wheat pita bread, two servings of tomatoes, ate avocado, and ate pears.

First picture:  We did some sign language this morning and I just wanted to show you a sample of the flash cards I follow.  So I did the sign for "sick" (like the one below) and Avilene and Atley both said it was the "coronavirus."  Haha.

I told the kids that Friday will be Birthday number 1 for Miles.  Nora said, "Hey Gary! At the motel it was Mommy's Birthday!"  I said, "Oh how fun!  And how old is Mommy!?"  (Hee Hee)  Nora said, "She's 23."  LOL!!  Did Mommy tell you that Nora!?!  :)

Next picture: Here's little "Svea dancer" spinning in front of the mirror under the watchful eye of Nora.  I think Nora is there to point out any technical errors!  Ha!

Last two pictures:  Having fun on the mattress.  A mattress is like the best thing ever for the Daycare!!  We've had a mattress (not the same one!) in here for at least 20 years and the mattress is an accessory they never get tired of.  Svea joined Atley and Nora in some silliness.  And in the last picture it was Avi on the bottom, then Atley, and Nora on top!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
