Nora - 8/12/2020

Nora ate three servings of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.   For lunch she ate bites of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate cauliflower, and ate fruit salad.   At snack yesterday afternoon Nora was talking about a "calapitter."  Then Avi kept saying "calapitter" over and over and over.  I'll be danged if there wasn't a couple of moments there when I couldn't think of the right way to say "caterpillar!!"  Haha.

Nora was telling me about something she watched.  "Gary, I watched about bears today."  So I'm immediately thinking of a wildlife documentary or a special program about bears.  "So what did you learn about bears Nora?"  Nora said, "Older bear did not want to do his homework."  LOL!  That is NOT what I was expecting!!  Ha.  

First picture from this morning; This is kind of a morning ritual now; as soon as Nora and Atley are both here they go spend a few minutes at the Doll House to start their day.  Second picture: We played a game of Farmyard Bingo with the three oldest girls.  I was trying to get a decent picture and it wasn't working too well so I asked if they'd each look at their game board.  And they were very cooperative as you can see, but it looks like they're praying.  Ha.  "Thank you Lord for this game....."  


Next picture: My parachute is much smaller than the one Avi and Svea have!!  But it covered the wagon!!  Haha.  And Nora and Avi in the wagon.   Picture from outside;  Hey, I got 5 out of my 6 kids in this one picture.   That doesn't happen very often unless I arrange it that way!!  I'm not sure why Cal and Svea were crawling on the sidewalk, but it's pretty cute.  :)

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
