Nora - 8/25/2020

Nora ate whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, no brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  Nora was in going potty and then letting me know she was done; "Gary! I'm alive!"  Haha.  What!?! And she repeated it; she knew she was being silly.

This first picture is actually from last Friday afternoon when everyone (except Miles) was at the fence waving bye to Lauralea.  Then I have a couple pictures left over from yesterday afternoon.  (Speaking of yesterday, I have NO pain today and I'm so thankful!!)  In the second picture Nora and Svea have taken up residence in the igloo and were laying in there sucking their thumbs in unison! I could have taken the exact same picture again this morning too!!  :)  Third picture; Dress-up clothes and checking it out in the mirror.  :)  That's very cute Nora.  

Last picture; You can see what this activity is about; putting the different colored hippos on the correct spot and then they can count them all up.  There are some 1 + 1 and 2 + 2, but then lots of them are obviously a bit advanced.  So I showed them how to do it and then let them play with it however they want and yesterday they came up with a creative game they call "friends."  This morning they were playing their "friends" game again.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
