Nora - 12/15/2020

Nora ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, bites of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  

I was in the kitchen putting breakfast on some plates and I heard Atley say to Nora, "Hey Nora, I remember when I was 3 years old and we used to say BOO to Gary in the kitchen."  So they started acting like they were 3 again and yelling "boo" to me.  They were peeking in the kitchen door that opens into the hallway.  

Nora was so impressed because Svea got Alexa to play "Ring around the Rosie."  Nora said, "Svea that was impressive!!"  Nora was in the Preschool Room, but obviously had heard it happen.  She went out just to congratulate Svea.  So sweet.  

I like this picture I took yesterday afternoon during Snack when Nora was feeding her brother.  Look how Nora has her mouth wide open.  It's hard to feed a baby without opening your mouth.  Lauralea and I used to laugh at each other for doing this exact thing.  So funny.  

Next picture;  Nora working on some Art this morning.  I drew a Christmas tree for her and then she was decorating it; putting on glue and tiny beads.  Last picture:  Jumping and exercising with everyone except Avi; she was reading books.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
