Nora - 12/18/2020

Nora ate oatmeal and no dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and three servings of applesauce.  Lunch conversation today:  Atley said, "My Mom and Dad are gonna teach me how to cook."  I guess Nora may have been thinking farther down the road; "Well my Mom and Dad are gonna teach me how to drive!"  LOL.  

Nora was sitting beside me on the couch examining the house; slowly looking at the ceiling and the walls.  Finally she said, "Did you buy this house?"  Haha.  "Why yes, we sure did.  A long time ago actually; over 24 years."  Then I added, "Your Mommy was probably a kid when we bought this house."  Nora's eyes got BIG.  Haha.  Avi was listening and said, "Well my Mom is (380) three-eighty."  LOL!!  I grabbed my phone; that's Blog material right there!!  :)

Nora is the one who reports every discretion that she observes the other children committing.  And there are lots of them.  Daily! Hourly! Haha.  Here's an example:  "Gary!!  Atley did NOT use the paper towel to shut off the water!!"  Nora, I know someone who can totally relate to you; Lauralea!!  Hahaha.  Shhhh, that will be our secret.  

First picture:  This was after waving bye to Daddy Brad at the window.  Guess what they're talking about here!?!  Brad wasn't driving his pickup this morning and Atley is explaining (in detail) about Brad's pickup!  I heard something about "an oil leak."  I love how Nora is focused on listening.  Good work Nora; that's being an awesome friend.  I know you're not super interested in Brad's mechanical issues.  Second picture:  This is so precious.  Nora said, "Svea, I want to cuddle you."  Svea jumped up and snuggled in so close and was loving it.  

SILLY FACES:  HAHA.  How could this kid be any cuter!?!

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
