Nora - 12/28/2020

Nora ate some bran cereal and some raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, two servings of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, avocado, and pears.  Nora was certain that Atley's piece of pita bread was bigger than her's.  Nora said, "Why does Atley get a bigger piece?"  Before I could answer Atley said, "Because I have a bigger mouth!"  Haha.  Then Atley opened her mouth, leaned across the table and said, "Do you want to measure them?!?"  Hahah.  What a goof.  

Nora asked, "Hey Gary, where do you live?"  I said, "I'll give you a hint; you're really close to where I live!" Nora said, "New York City?"  Haha.  Ummm, no.  Nora said, "Just tell me where you live!!" So I asked her; "Nora, who lives in this house!?"  She said, "Lauralea and you."  I think the question may have been more about names; like "Montana, New York City, Missoula, etc..."

First picture; I couldn't hear what these girls were talking about, but this was right after Svea arrived and it was very cute.  They were probably talking about their clothes.  Haha.  Second picture: Svea was talking to Miles and trying to coax him off the mattress or to at least move so she could flop over backwards from the blue balance beam.  Nora is there to give Svea "pointers" on how to deal with Brother Miles.  :)

Next picture:  Nora invited Svea: "Come here Svea and I will snuggle you."  Svea was immediately there!! So cute.  Last picture:  Avi asked for some cardboard and then of course they all wanted cardboard.  I found some thin pieces (which they can use their scissors on) in the recycle bin for them to create with.

Nora ate oatmeal and two servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.    Just in case anyone was wondering how many; this is the last of 836 Blogs for our sweet Nora. It's been such a joy for me to have Nora in my Program for all this time and I'm also thankful when she returned during the crazy covid time. I'm glad Miles will be here for another year which means I get to see Nora occasionally. I sure love all my Hansen family!! You guys are awesome. Here's a classic Nora comment from yesterday. The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. Nora - 08/26/2021

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Nora ate two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of cantaloupe.    Nora; "I'm SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" Boy I've been hearing that phrase a lot lately and it is exciting!! What are you most excited about? Nora said, "I get to wear my mask." LOL That was SO cute. I laughed so hard. We could use her for a poster encouraging people to wear masks!! First picture; Yup, Nora's back in the house!! First things first; Get these fellas all lined up, organized, and ready to go!! Ha. Nora - 05/25/2021

Nora ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice in berry juice, ate broccoli, and marion black berries.  At the meal table Nora saw a picture of Svea in the early years (ha) and said, "Look at you Svea! You were SO cute." Svea asked Nora, "Did you like me when I was that age?" What a super sweet conversation from both sides. Love it so much! This is kind of random, but in case anyone was wondering; I stopped doing the Spanish color words for the kids because - after listening to Alexa and Siri - I wasn't getting them correct and I didn't want the kids to have to unlearn and then relearn at Paxon. :)  First picture; Nora was building a tower with these little wooden blocks and you can see the "source of her supply."
