Nora ate two servings of French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate peas, and ate strawberries/mangoes.  Lauralea was being silly at Lunch and pretending to cry; she's actually pretty good at it.  They were all laughing, Avi was laughing REALLY hard, and Svea said, "Can you cry again!?!"  :)

Avi's Mom sent me a picture to ask Avi about a Present for Svea's Birthday.  I showed Nora the picture what Avi is getting Svea for her Birthday.  Oh man, Nora was impressed!!  Her face looked like a light bulb and her voice was literally quivering!!  "Oooohhhhh."  Haha.

As everyone knows by now, it's Thursday and that means one thing!!  "Science with Lauralea!!"  I told Svea that there is no thumb sucking at the Preschool table.  After Science time (which took a majority of the morning) the kids were in the Daycare Room and Nora said, "NOW can I suck my thumb!?!"  Ha!

Today's theme was "Water."  And we did lots of activities and experiments with water; at least 6.  Here are some examples;  First picture is "Capillary Action" (Haha) and it's an experiment that takes time so the kids are watching the changes through the day.  Those are folded paper towels connecting the bottles together.  Second picture: "Surface Tension." The alcohol pushes the water away.  (It's rubbing alcohol in case someone thinks I'm dipping into my stash. I will not waste that on Science Experiments! Ha)

Next two pictures:  We did lots of "Predicting" today.  The kids LOVED this activity!!  Will it SINK or will it FLOAT?  We even did a chart that you see in the following picture and kept track of their guesses. We had almost 25 items.  It was so much fun.  In the next picture the Pomegranate floated!!  Last picture;  Basically more of the same, but we were using some aluminum foil (which floated) and made a "boat."  Then we used pennies (which sank) and guessed how many pennies it would take to "Sink our boat."  How many do you think!?!  You gave up!?  Ok it was 40 Pennies.
